About the Role

As our Injury Management Coordinator, you will:

• Advise and assist employers, workers, and health practitioners to achieve sustainable RTW outcomes.
• Develop and manage comprehensive return-to-work programs for various injuries.
• Be the primary contact for employers, employees, workcover agents/insurers, medical providers, and other external parties.
• Utilize your expertise to interpret and advise on relevant legislation, ensuring clients meet regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For

We need someone who has:

• Experience in workers’ compensation claims management, either at a Workcover Agent/Insurer or Occupational Rehabilitation Provider.
• In-depth knowledge of common injuries, treatment options, and medical terminology.
• Proven ability to manage complex RTW cases, identifying barriers early and implementing effective strategies.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant workers compensation legislation locally – other state and territory scheme knowledge also advantageous.
• Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
• Ability to build long standing relationships and exceptional customer service.
• Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation abilities.
• Confidence in engaging with multiple stakeholders.
• A flexible approach to competing priorities, initiative to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A proactive, diligent approach with a commitment to handling multiple cases simultaneously.
• Ability to coordinate your time effectively and prepare for offsite meetings.
• Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
